Character Information

Brock Lewis was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado August 23rd, 1988. His father, Dylan Lewis, had been an active kinfolk at a sept earlier in his life, but he found it too much of a strain, and gave that up to live on his own. Brock never knew his mother growing up, as she left less than a year after his birth, but it is believed that she was an anruth Child of Gaia Philodox. His father never talked about how they met in the first place.

Brock's dad was a very good father, and taught him how to take care of himself and made sure that he knew the proper course to take in life in terms of school and relationships. He told Brock about the garou a little bit, but the subject was not brought up often, as deep down he hoped that Brock would never go through a first change.

His first job after he graduated high school at 16 was being a door-to-door salesman, which he became very good at, outselling everyone in his division. With how good he was at convincing others, he decided to pay someone to forge a law degree for him, and Brock became a lawyer illegally. With the money he raked in from this, he bought his most prized possession: a 2008 Aston Martin DB9, which he drove for years.

His first change in February 2008 involved one of his friends taking a crowbar to Brock's car over a petty incident, and subsequently getting clawed in half. The den parent of the nearby sept showed up soon after, and his life as a garou began.

For his rite of passage, he and 2 other cubs needed to stop the vampires in the area from taking over the Pike's Peak tourism business. The deed name "Smooth Talker" was well-earned when he convinced an armed security guard to let them pass through the gate to the mountain late at night simply by talking.

Soon after, he was brought into his first pack under Child of Gaia Eagle, formed for the purpose of cleaning up the city. Soon after, a fellow lawyer with a grudge exposed Brock, showing to the public that he was not an actual lawyer. Smooth Talker knew at that point it was time to move on, away from his comfort zone in Colorado Springs. As he was packing up his things to move, he found an old letter from his mother that he hadn't seen before. She apologized to him for not being a part of his life, and told him about a half brother, named Jack, who lived in the the Twin Cities. At that moment he knew he had to find Jack, and inform him of the news. He set off for River's Might in April 2011.

Smooth Talker arrived at River's Might and introduced himself to Jack on an eventful night, providing support and healing while the sept was invaded by a multitude of wyrm beasts. Afterwards, Jack became passively a sort of mentor and guide to Smooth Talker.

Smooth Talker found great camaraderie with the pack Umbra Police, and made fast friends with Speaks With Profanity, a friendship that would last for years. He fought with the pack in the great tournament of 2011, getting crushed by Natural Disaster but learning a lot about what it means to be pack.

For reasons unknown, he left the Umbra Police on friendly terms and joined The Syndicate, a city pack under Tezcatlipoca. The pack was rife with internal issues and eventually broke apart after its alpha left the sept.

Up until this point in his time at what was then River's Might, Smooth Talker told many stories and supported his packs however he could, but nothing major had happened to him. This was all about to change as he joined the Shadow Walkers, led by perhaps the closest friend Smooth Talker would ever have, Saul.

One night on what seemed to be a routine mission, a new threat to the area was uncovered. The Bastard Sons, disillusioned kinfolk who were learning how to effectively murder Gaian garou, were making an explosive appearance in the twin cities. It was revealed soon after that they had been skinning members of the sept while unconscious in order to become skindancers. An all-out war broke out between The Shadow Walkers, aided by a couple other packs, and the Bastard Sons. They burned down Smooth Talker's mansion in North Oaks, and soon after ambushed Saul and Smooth Talker, crippling Saul and bringing Smooth Talker to a personal prison made out of silver concertina wire. He had a face-to-face showdown with the leader of the Bastard Sons, Derrick Halse, who finished their encounter by cutting off Smooth Talker's face so he could add it to his own face to finish his skindancer ritual.

Smooth Talker never disclosed any other details of his time in captivity, and avoided mentioning anything about it.

After months-long back and forth with the Sons, their skindancer ranks growing rapidly, the location of their leader was finally disclosed by a Bastard Sons defector. Smooth Talker wasted no time, and gathered a small group of warriors including Saul, Xander, and Joseph Claws-At-Darkness to finish him off once and for all. The battle was the most intense and emotional fighting Smooth Talker had been in his entire life up until this point. After the battle, Saul, Smooth Talker's greatest friend, lay dead alongside Joseph.

The year following these events was not easy for Smooth Talker. His brother Jack was assassinated by members of the sept, and any leadership role Smooth Talker tried to have on the sept he failed at. Still pained by the losses of his brother Jack Dreamwalker, his friend Saul, and his perceived failures as a garou, Smooth Talker left the sept to find his mother, the only source of emotional grounding still possibly alive. It took him a few months, but he finally found her. It was a very happy reunion when he brought his father, who he had grown up with, to his estranged garou mother to all meet again once more. The three went up the side of a mountain to take in the gorgeous view. "What a beautiful day Gaia has made" said his father, and as Smooth Talker turned to respond, he realized that they were his last words. His father, who had been getting quite old, died there on the mountainside. He and his mother parted ways, and instead of a terrible rage or sadness, the whole encounter gave Smooth Talker the closure he needed, and he set back out to join the fight against the wyrm.

Smooth Talker joined the fight again at the grand gathering of 2013, an event which would lay the groundwork for the greatest thing Smooth Talker would ever do. Different members of the garou nation were cast into different points in time and space, and the time that Smooth Talker and his group were sent to would be the most gruesome of them all. He was sent to a future where the red star of the wyrm had become the new sun, billions of bloodied bodies were strewn about the planet, and those that were not dead were trapped in anguish and captivity. Smooth Talker had first-hand experience of what it would be like if the garou lost and the apocalypse happened. This was the most painful experience he would ever go through, but it concluded with other members of his group and himself being sent back to their time with the knowledge that the great hive in Gary, Indiana would be the cause of the terrible atrocities Smooth Talker witnessed. the entire group was inducted into the Swords of Gaia, a task force to stave off the apocalypse by raising and training the eternity pups, lupus garou pups who were paragons of their respective tribes.

A year of this went by as preparation for the raid on the Gary Hive, the greatest battle in recent history, would be fought.

Smooth Talker, now an Athro of the nation, was ready to fulfill his destiny.

Smooth Talker fought valiantly in the first two stages of the invasion, and the climactic scene of his entire life was about to occur. His job was to defend the eternity pups as they performed a ritual that would destroy the Gary Hive and strike a crippling blow to the BSD presence in North America. All manner of Black Spirals and beasts attacked the ritual and a few of the pups were killed in the process, including the Silent Strider cub, the tribe of Smooth Talker's pack alpha Desta. However, Desta grabbed another packmate who had fought perhaps the most tenaciously of anyone that night, and dragged him away, falling to the wyrm as she gave in to her fear and despair. Smooth Talker did not even think, his instincts as a great defender drove him to take the place of the Silent Strider cub, and Unicorn let out a painful sigh as she left Smooth Talker. Smooth Talker, sacrificing himself to what he saw as the greatest possible cause, completed the ritual and was taken out of existence, to the realm of eternity.

There he stayed for a year. It is supposedly a place of great peace and happiness, but he would never remember any of it.

One day he found himself in a bathroom in Florida of all places, with no memory how he got there or who he was. Eventually he integrated back into garou society, though he lost his voice defending the caern in the sept in Melbourne Florida, the place he called home since he had woken up. Dejected by the loss of his infamous and beautiful voice, he returned to Minnesota to try and piece together his past. He did not find out very much, but a new opportunity presented itself. Smith Writing-on-the-Wall dreamspoke his mind and found out Smooth Talker had become the Silent Strider eternity pup, which is why he had no memories of his own. Smooth Talker's original mind, which was trapped deep inside, reasoned with Smith and the eternity pup within the dream a plan to bring Smooth Talker back out. Smooth Talker's body would mate with a kinfolk, putting the spirit of the pup inside her, allowing Smooth Talker's mind to come back.

His mind back but his voice still gone, Smooth Talker did what he could to aid those in the sept and relive his days as a great defender and giver of life. However, one day, due to poor leadership, he and two other younger garou were captured after a recon mission went terribly wrong. It was almost identical to the situation he had been in years before with the Bastard Sons, and he would not have any of it. It did not matter who you were, nobody deserved captivity like this. In a fantastic hail Mary to save the lives of the two Cliath he was with, Smooth Talker lashed out against his captors, fighting heroically while the other two managed to escape.

Smooth Talker, Athro, Homid, Child of Gaia, Galliard, was dead.

That's one hi-res version of the image you uploaded! A smaller version would be more kind to load times. I could also format it similarly to what I did on the Jurgen and Talking Crazy pages if that's what you want.
